Ces derni\u00e8res ann\u00e9es, la promotion de production d\u2019\u00e9nergie renouvelable a entra\u00een\u00e9 un <strong>d\u00e9veloppement significatif de la m\u00e9thanisation agricole<\/strong>. En plus du biogaz, le processus de digestion ana\u00e9robie produit du digestat utilis\u00e9 aujourd\u2019hui largement comme fertilisant en agriculture. Il existe de plus en plus de r\u00e9f\u00e9rences sur la valeur fertilisante et amendante des digestats. Il y a toutefois peu d\u2019\u00e9tudes men\u00e9es pour \u00e9valuer l\u2019impact de leur utilisation sur la qualit\u00e9 notamment biologique des sols. De plus, la conduite de ces \u00e9tudes s&rsquo;est d\u00e9roul\u00e9e en Allemagne, avec des syst\u00e8mes m\u00e9thanisation tr\u00e8s diff\u00e9rents de ceux en France. Donc les digestats ne pr\u00e9sentant pas les m\u00eames caract\u00e9ristiques.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Pour pallier ce manque de r\u00e9f\u00e9rences, l\u2019ARAD\u00b2 suit, depuis 2018, 3 sites chez des agriculteurs. Ils sont dans le Calvados, la Manche et l\u2019Eure. Car ses caract\u00e9ristiques sont fortement influenc\u00e9es par la qualit\u00e9 des substrats utilis\u00e9s, les conditions du proc\u00e9d\u00e9 et par les post traitements \u00e9ventuels. Si de nombreux travaux permettent maintenant de bien appr\u00e9hender la valeur fertilisante de ces produits. <strong>Il reste encore de nombreuses interrogations sur l\u2019impact de leur utilisation sur les sols, et notamment sur la vie biologique des sols<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les \u00e9tudes men\u00e9es en Allemagne (notamment <em>Koblenz B. et al, 2015<\/em>) montrent que le <strong>digestat, comme le lisier, ont un effet positif sur l\u2019abondance et la biomasse des vers de terre<\/strong>, en comparaison avec le t\u00e9moin sans fertilisation et la modalit\u00e9 engrais chimique (tableau de gauche). L&rsquo;apport de quantit\u00e9 d\u2019azote est indique au digestat. La diff\u00e9rence entre les deux modalit\u00e9s s\u2019explique par une forte pr\u00e9sence d\u2019endog\u00e9s (50 sur 75). La <strong>rotation<\/strong> pratiqu\u00e9e pendant la p\u00e9riode de s<strong>uivi sur la parcelle est Bl\u00e9\/Orge\/CIVE\/.Ma\u00efs<\/strong>. Du digestat liquide est apport\u00e9 chaque ann\u00e9e&nbsp;: sur c\u00e9r\u00e9ales d\u2019hiver 30 m<sup>3<\/sup> en 2 \u00e0 3 fois, fin ao\u00fbt avant implantation de la CIVE et avant le semis de ma\u00efs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les mesures de reliquat sortie hiver ne montrent pas de r\u00e9elle tendance entre les deux modalit\u00e9s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le test Beer Kan r\u00e9alis\u00e9 en 2020 montre un temps d\u2019infiltration bien plus \u00e9lev\u00e9 pour la modalit\u00e9 digestat. <strong>La macroporosit\u00e9 est moins importante dans la modalit\u00e9 digestat. L<strong>es comptages de vers de terre ne montrent cependant aucune diff\u00e9rence en terme d\u2019abondance entre les deux modalit\u00e9s. Si le processus est conservatif pour les \u00e9l\u00e9ments nutritifs (N, P, K), ce n\u2019est pas le cas pour le carbone. En effet, sa fraction la plus stable se retrouve dans le digestat. On peut donc raisonnablement se demander : <strong>quelles sont les cons\u00e9quences d\u2019un retour au sol de ce type de produit sur les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s du sol en particulier sur la vie biologique ?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il existe tr\u00e8s peu de publications scientifiques sur le sujet. Les quelques \u00e9tudes men\u00e9es en Allemagne ne d\u00e9montrent pas d\u2019impact n\u00e9gatif de l\u2019\u00e9pandage de digestat sur l\u2019abondance et la biomasse des vers de terre. C\u2019est m\u00eame le contraire, il augmente ces deux indicateurs si on le compare \u00e0 une fertilisation uniquement chimique. <strong>Les crit\u00e8res abondance et biomasse des vers de terre sont donc am\u00e9lior\u00e9s par l\u2019apport de digestat.<\/strong> Ceci, <strong>dans des proportions<\/strong> qui sont<strong> \u00e9quivalentes \u00e0 l\u2019apport de lisier.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Les essais men\u00e9s par l&rsquo;ARAD<sup>2<\/sup><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>L\u2019ARAD\u00b2 a d\u00e9marr\u00e9 des essais en 2018 pour suivre l\u2019impact du digestat sur les propri\u00e9t\u00e9s chimiques, physiques et biologiques des sols. Trois sites diff\u00e9rents ont servis pour l&rsquo;\u00e9tude&nbsp;: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Montreuil en Lozon dans la Manche en sol limono-argileux, <\/li><li>Le Theil Bocage dans le Calvados en sol limon sablo-argileux <\/li><li>Campigny dans l\u2019Eure en sol limoneux.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Les tests b\u00eaches r\u00e9alis\u00e9s en 2020 n\u2019ont donc montr\u00e9 <strong>aucune diff\u00e9rence de structure entre les modalit\u00e9s digestat et engrais chimique<\/strong>. Sur un site, la modalit\u00e9 digestat pr\u00e9sentait visuellement un r\u00e9seau d\u2019hyphes de champignons plus \u00e9lev\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Les tests d\u2019infiltration Beer Kan montrent dans deux cas sur trois un <strong>temps d\u2019infiltration plus faible<\/strong>. Il y a donc <strong>une meilleure macroporosit\u00e9 du sol recevant du digestat<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Annuellement, des <strong>comptages vers de terre selon la m\u00e9thode OPVT (test moutarde) sont r\u00e9alis\u00e9s<\/strong>. Aucune diff\u00e9rence significative d\u2019abondance entre les modalit\u00e9s digestat et engrais chimique n\u2019a \u00e9t\u00e9 observ\u00e9e. Except\u00e9 pour 2020 sur le site de Montreuil en Lozon o\u00f9 le nombre de vers de terre est quasiment le double pour le digestat. Par contre, en 2020, pour deux sites, leur biomasse \u00e9tait plus \u00e9lev\u00e9e. Mettant donc en \u00e9vidence des <strong>vers de terre qui sont plus gros dans la modalit\u00e9 digestat<\/strong>. Enfin, concernant la <strong>composition de la communaut\u00e9<\/strong>, c\u2019est-\u00e0-dire la proportion d\u2019\u00e9pig\u00e9s, d\u2019an\u00e9ciques et d\u2019endog\u00e9s, les<strong> r\u00e9sultats sont diff\u00e9rents pour chaque site<\/strong>. Il n&rsquo;est donc pas possible de conclure.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Les conclusions des essais<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>Les suivis de rendement n\u2019ont donc mis en \u00e9vidence <strong>aucune diff\u00e9rence entre les modalit\u00e9s digestat et engrais chimique<\/strong>. Les cultures valorisent donc bien les \u00e9l\u00e9ments pr\u00e9sents dans les digestats.  <strong>Ils permettent alors des \u00e9conomies d\u2019engrais chimiques sans p\u00e9naliser les cultures.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Le suivi des trois sites devrait se poursuivre pendant les trois prochaines ann\u00e9es afin d\u2019\u00e9valuer cet impact sur le long terme.
