La <strong>mati\u00e8re organique r\u00e9siduaire est aujourd\u2019hui une ressource<\/strong>, d\u00e9finitivement plus un d\u00e9chet. L\u2019expertise scientifique est aujourd\u2019hui mobilis\u00e9e pour \u00e9clairer l\u2019\u00e9volution des sch\u00e9mas de gestion de la mati\u00e8re organique \u00e0 l\u2019\u00e9chelle du territoire.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Biorare est une technologie de rupture<\/strong>, bas\u00e9e sur l\u2019\u00e9lectrosynth\u00e8e microbienne. Elle<strong> permet de produire \u00e0 partir des d\u00e9chets organiques des mol\u00e9cules multi carbon\u00e9es<\/strong>. La chimie verte utilise \u00e9norm\u00e9ment ces mol\u00e9cules. A terme, cette technologie pourrait \u00eatre coupl\u00e9e \u00e0 un m\u00e9thaniseur. En effet,<strong> ces unit\u00e9s approvisionn\u00e9es en biod\u00e9chets sont en<br>mesure d\u2019obtenir de l\u2019hydrolysat, et du CO<sub>2<\/sub><\/strong>. Selon un sc\u00e9nario imagin\u00e9 par les \u00e9quipes de recherche, une installation de m\u00e9thanisation traitant 50 000 tonnes de biod\u00e9chets. Elle  pourrait alors permettre de produire 3 900 t d\u2019acide formique ou 1 300 t d\u2019acide ac\u00e9tique ou encore 1 400 t d\u2019acide succinique. Mais, il reste encore du travail pour parvenir \u00e0 une unit\u00e9 de taille industrielle.<strong> Biorare est une technologie de rupture en cours de maturation<\/strong>. Elle n\u2019est aujourd\u2019hui pas g\u00e9n\u00e9ralisable. Mais le potentiel est grand. <strong>Les co\u00fbts de production et l\u2019\u00e9volution r\u00e9glementaire poussent cette technologie vers le succ\u00e8s<\/strong>. Il reste cependant des freins techniques \u00e0 lever. En effet, la phase de recherche est gourmande en moyen humain.
